We would like to give a special thanks to Dave Morrow of Warrior and Brine. They have been so generous with assisting our movement with introducing the sport of lacrosse to many athletes in South Florida. They have gone above and beyond with their sponsorship of equipment, apparel, and promotional items. Without the Help of Warrior and Brine the athletes would not be able to afford the opportunity to experience the amazing game that we all have come to love. The quality of their products and apparel are second to none. We strongly encourage all to purchase from these two amazing companies. Not because they have been generous to us but solely because they create a product that is not only affordable but proven to be effective when used properly.

NFL Pre-Draft Sports Program - Palm Beach Florida

Prime Time Sports Training’s methodology is based on an integrated, wellness and position-specific approach that combine to help you reach your peak p

erformance. Every activity is geared toward preparation and success at the Combine, Pro-Day, Rookie Camp and throughout your NFL career.
Prime Time Sports Training emphasizes a philosophy of injury prevention. Each program and service accentuates this philosophy. We believe in longevity for every athlete. The final stage of athletic development with Prime Time Sports Training combines the physical and mental techniques taught by our staff. These techniques prepare each athlete to compete at his maximum level of performance.

Prime Time Sports Training knows the importance of preparation for this time in a player’s career:

“The training for the NFL Combine is out of necessity, very intense. Improvement is crucial in the eight to twelve weeks prior to the weeklong event. Little room is left for error or non-preparation. Because of this, experience and a proven system are critical factors in helping players perform at their highest level.”
Pro Day preparation is an opportunity for each player to put his best foot forward. These additional four to six weeks allows for increasingly specific training leading into Rookie Camp in May. This area is geared to get each player into optimum shape both physically and mentally. The program is built around real life Rookie Camp situations and conditioning programs.

Our program:

  1. Medical history is reviewed for each player and evaluated by an orthopedist, physical therapist, and chiropractor.
  2. A comprehensive understanding of each player’s unique needs is assessed.
  3. Each player is tested in the relevant performance skills for their position. Position Specific Analysis is performed by former NFL players looking for potential weaknesses in form.
  4. Nutrition & Diet are reviewed by a Certified Sports Nutritionist.
  5. Each player will have a meeting with the staff for an overview of the program and the player’s results.

The training is divided into several basic categories:

  1. Linear Speed Development (Acceleration and Top-End Speed).
  2. Multi-Directional Movement Skills Training.
  3. Strength and Power Training (Bench Press Preparation).
  4. Position-Specific Skill Training (Combine/Pro Day Drills).
  5. Film Sessions – Combine/ Pro Day (Drills & Review of Games).
  6. Balance and Stability Training
  7. Rehabilitation and Pre-rehab Training (Massage Therapy and Active Release Technique – A.R.T).
  8. Mental Conditioning Training
  9. Mentoring System
  10.  Nutritional Fueling Tactics and Strategies
  11.  Regeneration Days

Linear Speed Development (Acceleration and Top End Speed)
Athletes who train with Prime Time are taught the correct techniques to become faster. Remarkable results have been seen in players who have worked with Prime Time Sports Training. Prime Time works on increasing each player’s ability to have a quicker start (first step quickness), accelerate, and reach top end speed. That is very important in many of the combine measurable skills but plays an even larger role in many of the Position Specific Skill Tests and Evaluations. Ultimately this skill will translate to big-time plays on the field.

    Multi-Directional Movement Skill Training

The ability to increase each player’s capacity to accelerate, decelerate, change directions, and re-accelerate in multiple planes of movement is the single reason why some players can “play faster than they really are”. This skill, coupled with increased balance and stability, transfers directly to new levels of execution in all the Football Position Specific Drills. This singular component will have the greatest impact on a player’s ability to compete at the NFL level.

    Strength and Power Training

This is a key measurable into the overall assessment of an athlete’s ability to play in the NFL. There is no question that strength and especially power are absolute pre-requisites for high levels of accomplishment on the field. Stability strength, the integration between strength, joint position, and neuromuscular coordination are essential in high-level performers. These are indispensable when it comes to staying healthy and injury free. An extensive weight program is designed by the Prime Time Staff for not only the Bench Press at the Combine or Pro-Days but for real world situations on the field or during drills. Power and balance are key factors that encompass the weight training system.

    Balance and Stability Training
    (Core Functionally)
One major forgotten component of performance training is balance and coordination. Being able to play outside your center of gravity is one of an elite athlete’s major strengths. Prime Time strives to create a training environment that helps the athlete learn how to use his own body to his advantage. Being able to play the sport at many different levels and planes and only using part of one’s body is key in any sport but most of all in football. Also, being able to put multiple movements together at a high rate of speed is a must in the world of pro sports. We will mimic those movements through the training.

    Rehabilitation and Pre-Rehabilitation Training

Each player will be given a complete orthopedic and chiropractic evaluation before the training program begins. It is not uncommon for players to come to Prime Time Sports Training a little dinged up after the completion of a long season. Players come in with active injuries or the residual effects of an injury experienced during their college career. At times the tissue has healed but the neuromuscular control has still yet to be re-established. The coaching staff and medical staff are well equipped to address any situation and get the athlete back to full functionality. The evaluation will be performed by a group of board certified orthopedists, sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, and chiropractors.

    Mental Conditioning Training

In many instances Pro Combine invitees or players preparing for a collegiate Pro-Day have been surrounded by ten other players on every play of every game. Thus, players standing on the field at the Combine or on Pro-Day feels  alone. They haven’t developed the strategies to maximize their performance in a somewhat strange environment. Working with a trained sports psychologist and an assigned Prime Time Coach can unlock a player’s full potential when it counts the most. This service will help each player develop essential mental strategies and aid in reducing “test anxiety”. Further, test preparations for the Wonderlic and other testing instruments will accompany mental training. Another function within the service Prime Time will be mentoring each player.

    Nutrition

Prime Time’s program includes meals for both breakfast and lunch that are designed to fit each individual athlete’s nutritional needs. Prime Time has one of the Sports top nutritionists on staff. Prime Time will be working with each player’s needs from basic food intake to supplement needs with the potential to have a complete meal plan provide by local chefs .  Each player’s plan will be designed to provide the best solution to their refueling needs. The system designed will teach the player how to make the best food choices to facilitate regeneration and optimize performance. Sound nutritional practices can increase the quality of life, health, and well-being for an athlete. It is recognized that nutritional supplementation is one of the eight pillars of optimal health. Through blood and biochemical evaluation a custom built supplement program will be crafted for each player.

    Regeneration
It is proven that the ability for the body to regenerate is the most important aspect of improving performance. If a player does not get stronger, he will not become faster or develop greater levels of endurance while training. Improvements only come after the body adapts to the stress of training. At the level these players aspire to reach, quality and quantity sleep have a huge impact. Prime Time will work to provide each player with the most comfortable and home like setting for them to live in. Each player needs to feel comfortable and well-rested. Also, during this stage massage therapy by licensed sports massage therapists will be available. Another available component is the Chiropractic service to help with internal and external balance. The nutrition and nutritional supplement programs as well as the strategic pre-training and post-training nutritional strategies are fine-tuned to produce optimal recovery, with the goal of getting each player to reach his maximum potential.
