Prime Time Sports Training LAX Testing
The testing program is designed by Paolo Dell Aquila to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of a lacrosse player’s game. The program is similar to the evaluation process used by the NFL and the NFL Combine.
40 Yard Dash with stick in hand
- Measures athlete's speed and acceleration with the stick in hand
- Looking for explosion from a static start
40 Yard Dash recovery test
- Simulates the athlete's ability to recover from being on the ground
- Measures reaction and speed from being placed in a distressed position
Speed Gun Timed Shot
- This will measure the athlete's shot speed
- The athlete will perform this test from a predetermined distance
Shot Accuracy Drill (Brine method target rings)
- This will test the athlete’s shot accuracy with targets in the four corners of the net
- The athlete will shoot from various locations on the field
The StandingBroad Jump with stick
- Measures lower body power
- Correlates with sprinting speed
- Looking for the distance of the jump and not the height
Vertical Jump with stick
- This test also measures lower body power
- In this exercise we are for the maximum height from a static start
Pro Agility (5-10-5)
- Measures athlete's ability to change direction (forward)
- Measures the ability to start and stop quickly
T-Test
- Measures athlete's ability to change direction (forward/backward/lateral)
- Movement in multiple directions
